Enterprise Network Operations

Five Rivers Services, LLC (FRS) provides operations, maintenance, 24/7 monitoring, and expansion of enterprise networks for several DoD, Federal, and commercial customers. By managing and operating the network operations and security centers, FRS assumes responsibility for network troubleshooting, software distribution and updating, router and domain name management, performance monitoring, and coordination with affiliated networks.

Our technical experts, scattered throughout the United States, Europe, Middle East, and Asia provide decision makers a comprehensive, integrated, situational awareness and operational reporting capability to critical networks, systems, security devices, and designated applications. Telecommunications, Systems Engineering

FRS has experience in providing systems engineering associated with complex government systems in existence today, including command and control and telecommunications systems. Our systems engineering expertise also supports our customers in mission and requirements analysis, operations analysis, and trade-off analysis.

FRS has deployed personnel in the US and Southwest Asia providing engineering services to bring the Army’s IT and telecommunications infrastructure up to commercial standards. FRS provides project management as it relates to the design, installation, and operation of large-scale telecommunications and IT systems in the US and Southwest Asia. FRS’ scope of services includes engineering, design, logistics, project material management, definition of requirements, and quality assurance and quality control.

Satellite Communications

FRS is the integration, certification, and sustainment organization for the Television Direct to Sailors (TV-DTS) Antenna System, which receives Armed Forces Radio and Television Service (AFRTS) programming aboard ships at sea. The TV-DTS antenna is a 1.3-meter marine-stabilized receive-only system capable of receiving circular polarized C- and Ku-band satellite transmissions. Shipboard terminals also have a Ku capability to receive satellite television broadcasts directly from commercial providers such as DirectTV. FRS has participated in the delivery of 279 systems to date, most installed aboard US Navy and Coast Guard vessels.

Information Assurance (IA), Network Security, Certification and Accreditation (C&A)

FRS possesses vast experience and qualifications in providing IA and network security services to the Federal Government. We’ve garnered excellent past performance by implementing measures that actively protect and defend information, communication mediums, and information systems. Many of our security professionals carry the prestigious Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification, and we promote continuing education in order to stay appraised of new technologies, threats, and countermeasures. FRS areas of expertise include Certification and Accreditation (C&A), threat and vulnerability assessment, perimeter security, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), policy, and much more.

Project Management, IT Service Management (ITSM)

Our global presence demands that FRS place a priority on managing programs in a systematic yet flexible manner. We adhere to the Project Management Institutes’ (PMI) published best practices and encourage our Program and Project Mangers to obtain PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. We employ PMP and ITIL best practices to make informed decisions and increase our customer’s ability to adapt quickly to changes in requirements.

Our IT Service Management approach aligns the delivery of IT best practices and services with the needs of the customer. We provide single point of accountability to manage service level performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction. All of our contracts are governed using the best policies, procedures, practices, and principles as documented by our stellar past-performance ratings.

Multimedia, Visual Information Systems, Web Design

FRS provides a variety of multimedia technical support services and products to both the Army and Air Force. FRS multimedia professionals create, develop, record, assemble, and enhance visual data into film and digital still photography, motion photography, audio, analog and digital video recordings, computer-based products, and graphics. This includes photography services, digital media services, graphic support services, presentation services, video production services, commander's closed circuit television services, audio-video duplication services, video reproduction services, and self-help classes.

Our webmasters design, develop, and modify existing Intranet and Internet sites using commercial off-the-shelf software programs for page layout, graphic development, image editing, and illustrations. FRS has also developed a number of custom web applications aimed at increasing productivity and satisfying specialized customer requirements.

Video Teleconferencing (VTC)

FRS provides worldwide secure and non-secure VTC capabilities to our customer base. Our services are leveraged for Command and Control, meetings, distance learning, and briefings/presentations.

FRS has sole responsibility for the Patrick Air Force Base (PAFB) main VTC Center, collocated in the Command Conference Center, which provides worldwide VTC capabilities and is the only Secure VTC capability available for PAFB and the surrounding areas of: Cape Canaveral Air Station (CCAS), and the Kennedy Space Center (KSC). Our VTC facilitators are Defense Information System Agency (DISA) certified and the systems supported meet DoD IA C&A Process (DIACAP) accreditation requirements.

Training Aids, Devices, Simulations, and Simulators (TADSS)

FRS supports Army deployment training activities designed to familiarize soldiers with various weapon systems and dynamically changing environments. Our team provides 24/7 field maintenance service to units utilizing TADSS gunnery training equipment and various tactical engagement training systems. The FRS team also provides tactical engagement simulation systems with realistic battlefield environments for direct fire force-on-force training. Our customer—the Warfighter—is trained on weapons without shooting a round—resulting in better trained soldiers and better use of training dollars. We also design and fabricate training aids and devices not available through regular supply and equipment channels, most of which are used to simulate urban warfare environments and enemy weapons and tactics.

Service Desk, Help Desk, Call Center Operations

FRS’ Service Desk capabilities provide a single point of contact for handling IT incidents, service requests, and user questions. Our trained technicians facilitate the restoration of normal operational service with minimal customer impact within agreed Service Level Agreements and business priorities.

FRS provides Tier 1 through Tier 3 levels of support (receiving calls, recording and tracking incidents and complaints, for a wide range of operating systems, commercial software, and custom applications. Our customer-centric approach combined with ITIL Best Practices enables FRS stay ahead of customer requirements and deliver IT services in an efficient and effective manner that is responsive versus reactive.

Desktop Management, Small Computer Training and Maintenance

FRS offers desktop management services to migrate users to homogenous environments with standardized procedures, consistent hardware and software, and centralized support staff. Benefits include cost savings, reduced total cost of ownership, improved asset utilization, increased IT efficiency and productivity, consistent Service Delivery across the organization, and higher user satisfaction.

FRS schedules and conducts training on Microsoft Office products and in basic and intermediate software applications. We provide on-site maintenance and repair of non-mission essential computers and peripheral equipment to Air Force and Army customers.

Five Rivers Services Mid-Atlantic Operations

FRS Mid-Atlantic Operations (MAO), headquartered in Chesapeake, Virginia, focuses on engineering and technical services in support of current and future Navy shipbuilding, ship modernization, overhaul, alteration, maintenance, and repair programs. Our services support repair, overhaul, installation, and testing of all shipboard equipments and systems and related shore-based systems. In addition, FRS MAO provides satellite installation and maintenance, fiber optics, systems engineering, systems integration, and Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) support to the Federal Government and commercial customers along the eastern coast of the United States and overseas.
