Five Rivers Services Awarded US Geological Survey Contract
April 26, 2011 – The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has awarded Five Rivers Services, LLC (FRS) a contract to provide technical support services for the USGS South Central Area including the Columbia Environmental Research Center (CERC) in Columbia, MO; National Wetlands Research Center (NWRC) in Lafayette, LA; Louisiana Water Science Center (LAWSC) in Baton Rouge, LA; and Northern Prairie Wildlife Center (NPWC) in Jamestown, ND. In addition to these primary locations, support may be provided at field stations or other science centers in the south central region. Under this contract, FRS personnel provide technical support in the following areas: biological, ecological, and hydrologic research; environmental chemistry; geography; river studies; geographic information systems and spatial analysis; information technology, and administrative services. The 5-year contract is valued at approximately $25 million.
Five Rivers Services Receives DoD/Pikes Peak Region Military Installation 2011 Small Business Contractor of the Year Award
April 26, 2011 – Five Rivers Services, LLC (FRS) is honored to announce it has been awarded the DoD/Pikes Peak Region Military Installations 2011 Small Business Contractor of the Year award. This award recognizes excellence in small business contractor support for Air Force Space Command, 21st Space Wing (Peterson AFB), 50th Space Wing (Schriever AFB), United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Strategic Command (SMDC/ARSTRAT), Fort Carson, and the General Services Administration's (GSA) Rocky Mountain Region. The company, a Small Disadvantaged Alaska Native Corporation (ANC), was founded in 2005 and has operations spanning the globe. With 285 personnel stationed at 25 locations in the United States, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait, FRS provides full-spectrum IT, communications, environmental research, multimedia, and training support services to the Federal Government. This award recognizes FRS for their technical expertise and commitment to achieving the client's mission. Air Force Recognizes Five Rivers Services with Prestigious Award
April 26, 2011 – Five Rivers Services, LLC (FRS) was presented the Peterson Air Force Base Small Business Contractor of the Year Award at the Small Business Outreach Conference sponsored by the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce. FRS was nominated for their outstanding support as the prime contractor on the Air Force Space Surveillance System for which they manage, operate, and maintain nine AN/FPS-133 radio sites. These sites are situated coast-to-coast across the Southern US to provide critical national security space surveillance. Transmitters emit a fan of continuous, very high power electromagnetic energy (5,000 nautical miles long by 2 miles wide) and receivers collect reflected energy from orbital objects as they pass through the "Fence." This system is capable of detecting basketball or larger sized objects orbiting the Earth out to 15,000 nautical miles. FRS technicians collect, process, and report returns on 100,000 targets daily to a computer center at Dahlgren, VA where the data is correlated to the Air Force's orbital element set database and analyzed. "It is a great honor not only to perform on such a mission-critical Air Force program, but to be recognized by our customers for our exceptional performance. Five Rivers Services, LLC was selected as the "Overall Winner" of the 2009 Fort Hood Interactive Customer Evaluation (ICE) Award.
March 2010 - Five Rivers Services, LLC (FRS) Fort Hood Training Support Center (TSC) contract was selected as the "Overall Winner" of the 2009 Fort Hood Interactive Customer Evaluation (ICE) Award. The ICE system is a web-based tool that collects feedback on services provided by various organizations throughout the Department of Defense (DoD). The ICE system allows customers to submit online comment cards to rate the service providers they have encountered at military installations and related facilities around the world. FRS' TSC contract achieved a 100% ICE satisfaction rate for Fiscal Year 2009. This award emphasizes FRS' commitment to providing the highest quality products and services to our customers and taking our quality policy to heart.

Five Rivers Services, LLC was awarded a $45.9 million contract by Air Force Space Command (AFSPC)
June 2009 - Five Rivers Services, LLC (FRS) was awarded a $45.9 million contract by Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) to operate and maintain the nine Air Force Space Surveillance System (AFSSS) field stations (otherwise known as the FENCE). The FENCE is the oldest segment of the US Space Surveillance Network (SSN) responsible for detecting, tracking, identifying, and cataloging man-made objects in space. The AFSSS stations are remotely located on path spread across the 33rd parallel of the US from Georgia to California and consists of six receiver and three VHF transmitter stations. As a critical defense system, AFSSS is manned on a 24-hour, 7 days-a-week, 365 days-a-year basis. Energy emitted from the transmitter stations forms a fixed position, fan shaped beam very narrow in the north-south direction and extends across the continental US in the east-west direction. One or more of the receiver stations receives energy reflected from satellites and other objects penetrating this beam and sends space debris metric data to the Alternate Space Control Center (ASCC) in Dahlgren, VA.
