Our Alaska Native Heritage
About NANA
Formed by the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) in 1971, NANA Regional Corporation (NRC) is one of the thirteen regional Alaskan Native Corporations set up to administer the settlement and the surface land rights of 44 million acres allotted to the native peoples. NANA Regional Corporation has been brought alive through the dedication of its 11,400 shareholders, the Iñupiat people of the Northwest Arctic region and its extensive portfolio of businesses, including Five Rivers Services, LLC (FRS).
NANA’s primary role is to cultivate opportunity among its shareholders. Profits from NANA companies support a variety of programs including internships and scholarships.
NANA is headquartered in Alaska and operates worldwide. The strength of NANA is in the companies they own and the corporate philosophy by which they and all of their subsidiaries do business. A philosophy which honors traditional Iñupiat values.

How Five Rivers Services Fits into the NANA Family
NANA Regional Corporation’s business portfolio is extensive and diverse. To manage the business arm of and deliver profits to NRC, NANA Development Corporation (NDC) was established. NDC is wholly owned by NRC, and is managed by an elected board of NANA shareholders. To provide specific services for specific customer organizations, management companies working have been established to meet NRC’s vision of becoming a billion dollar corporation. One such management company is KI Professional Services Group, LLC (KPSG) , a wholly owned subsidiary of NDC. FRS is a wholly owned subsidiary of KPSG. FRS was formed to provide exceptional IT services to Government and commercial customers while also providing a source of support for our Iñupiat Eskimo shareholders. Our support aids our native shareholders in preserving their traditions while building opportunities for the future.
